Open University Malaysia is a private university owned by Multimedia Technology Enhancement Operations Sdn. Bhd. (METEOR) a consortium of 11 public universities in Malaysia. The main campus is situated at Jalan Tun Ismail, Kuala Lumpur and there are 61 learning centres throughout the country.
OUM consists of five faculties, specialising in Applied Social Sciences, Business & Management, Education & Languages, Information Technology & Multimedia Communication and Science & Technology. Besides the five faculties, OUM has a School of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences to correspond with the growing needs of the medical industry.
OUM offers a non-restrictive entry for their programmes. Students who wish to enroll but do not meet the minimum entry requirements are given the option of Flexible Entry if they have relevant prior learning experience. OUM enables working adults to further their study as they offer flexible courses to help students manage their work and life besides studying.
